Raahil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. His research spans the fields of environmental and development economics. Raahil’s current research agenda explores how economic development shapes land use regimes and natural resources, such as biodiversity, food supply, and air quality. He uses a mix of economic theory, applied econometrics, and geospatial tools in all his projects.
Raahil holds a Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of British Columbia, and M.A. in Economics from UBC, and a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from McGill University.
