Jacob Harris is a PhD student at the University of Minnesota's Department of Geography, Environment, and Society. Some of his research interests include renewable energy, climate economics, and sustainability as analyzed through spatial statistics, econometric modeling, and GeoAI. In 2024, Jacob completed a Master of Science through the Department of Applied Economics. During his time in APEC, he researched climate economics and Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) such as the Dynamic Integrated Climate-Economy (DICE) model, as well as Gross Ecosystem Product (GEP) valuation of renewable energy. He recently joined the Geospatial Data Intelligence (GeoDI) Lab within the Department of Geography, Environment and Society to pursue more research questions at the intersection of spatial analysis and economics.
